Motivation: He retired and retreated to his ancestral home on Ando Prime after his son was murdered. Darrion came out of retirement two years ago when he returned to Coruscant to attend Willa and Dash's wedding. He cares about the peace in the galaxy and is now ready to offer his assistance and advice to anyone who asks for it...and to those who do not.
Addictions: Enjoys a good party and likes to drink Corellian brandy.
Hobbies/Amusements: Is a very talented artist, well-known for his portrait work. Enjoys dancing, playing the pipes and a good game of Sabaac. Also loves to tell tales of his youthful adventures to anyone who will listen.
Ambitions: to live the rest of his life to the fullest, enjoying every day as if it were his last.
Disappointments: Darrion suffered a great loss when his son and daughter-in-law were killed by his other granddaughter Cae. The only thing that kept him from withdrawing completely was his love for Willa. However, Cae is now redeemed, making this disappointment a little less painful.

Special Abilities/talents: He is skilled in diplomacy and is well-known for negotiating in very difficult and seemingly hopeless situations. He also trained many young knights in lightsaber techniques and although he has not used his own for a very long time, he would not hesitate to accept a challenge.
Background Notes: Father Thadius was a keeper of the ancient books of the Jedi. Mother Draila was a very powerful Jedi Knight who eventually became a Jedi Master.
Darrion lived with his brother and sisters on the planet Ando Prime, home of the Bendu monks. The monks study the journals of the Skywalker, the ancient sage who discovered the Force.
It is known that the family Bendu are descendants of the first disciples of the Skywalker, the Jedibendu.
Darrion's life was normal to an extent. All of his family was Force-sensitive in one way or another, but Darrion took after his mother in that his powers were extremely strong. He had a hard time dealing with such powers and his siblings were jealous at times.
Master Draila Bendu was known for her mastery of the lightsabre and her intense knowledge of the forbidden arts of the Jedi. She loved her family but was more devoted to the Force and its power.
Darrion grew up very independent and strong. He was always looking for the next adventure and had a devil-may-care attitude. He met a young woman named Janna and fell in love with her instantly. Janna was a Jedi healer and when they married, Darrion settled down for a while, but always had the itch for adventure. When a mission came up that was too good to overlook, he left in haste without telling his wife where he was going.
He took on the dangerous mission, knowing that he may not return. Unbeknowst to him, Janna was pregnant with their first child. He fought bravely alongside the other Jedi but was betrayed by someone whom he thought was his friend. He was captured by his enemies and tortured to the brink of death.
He was held prisoner for nearly a year before a team of Bothan Jedi rescued him. They risked their lives to save him. One of these Jedi was named Hiron Bena. (Willa went to be with Hiron after she witnessed her parents' deaths. He helped her to overcome her pain) He was the one who actually freed Darrion and they would strike up a friendship that lasted for many years. Darrion always had a soft spot for Bothans from that day forward and felt he owed the Bothan nation a tremendous debt. 1: for freeing him 2: for helping Willa
When he returned home, he was shocked to find that his wife had given birth to a baby boy, Soryn,who was now three months old. Darrion realized that if he had not been rescued or worse, had died, he would never have known his son. He pleaded with his wife to forgive him and vowed that he would never run off like that again. Janna had been heartbroken when Darrion left but her love for him was so great that she forgave him and accepted him back into her life.
From that day forward, Darrion Bendu devoted his life to his wife and son and became stronger and wiser eventually leading to a seat on the Jedi Council of Reconciliation and the title, Jedi Master.
